In other nations, it is observed on different days, however in India, it is observed every year on November 14. Although the iconic independence warrior and first prime minister of independent India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, was born on November 14, his birthday is commemorated as Children’s Day because of his deep love and affection for young people. Although he was a political figurehead, he adored children and spent most of his valuable time with them. The Children’s Day celebration features a tonne of enjoyable activities.

Early in the morning, cabinet ministers, prominent officials, and other people congregate at Shanti Bhavan to rejoice and pay respects to the great leader. They decorate the Samadhi with flowers, offer prayers, and then hymns are sung. Chacha Nehru is gratefully praised for his unselfish sacrifices, support of young people, peaceful political accomplishments, etc.

Children create a wide range of cultural programmes and events in numerous schools and institutions to enthusiastically celebrate this day. To honour the Indian chieftain and his enormous love and concern for children, youngsters perform stage shows, dances, short plays, and other musical and dramatic performances. The commemoration of this day serves as a reminder for us to reaffirm our dedication to the welfare of children, including their good health, care, and education. Children were Chacha Nehru’s top priority, and he lavished them with love and attention. It is an opportunity to adopt childlike characteristics. Pt. Nehru always encouraged children to maintain their nationalistic and patriotic sentiments throughout their lives. He constantly served as an example and source of encouragement for kids performing daring and selfless acts for their country. I appreciate you providing me the opportunity to communicate how much I love Chacha Nehru.

Children’s Day Short Speech for Students

Dear Teachers, Respected Principal, and Friends, I’d like to wish everyone a very happy Children’s Day and introduce myself as ___________________ from standard.

Since 1964, India has marked Children’s Day on the 14th of November each year. We observed this day to commemorate the birth of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, our nation’s first prime minister.

He loved children and cherished every moment he spent with them, believing that children hold the future of the country in their hands. Children also had a special affection for him and affectionately referred to him as “Chacha Nehru” or “Chachaji.”

He has always been an advocate for equality and thinks that every child has an equal right to safety, health, and education. Similar to our school, other schools across the nation observe the holiday by hosting several programmes to inspire kids to share innovative ideas, as well as a variety of games and stage productions that feature debating, singing, dancing, and other activities.

The first Prime Minister of independent India has a great passion for children and once said, “Today’s children will build tomorrow’s India.” Children should be provided the right care and love since they are a priceless resource for the country and represent hope for today and tomorrow. I’ll end by saying thank you to everyone for coming and helping to make the programme a success.

The first Prime Minister of an independent India was Jawaharlal Nehru. He was a renowned freedom fighter and politician who devoted his life to achieving India’s independence from British control. Children, according to Nehru, are the foundation of any great, developed country. He was adored and revered by kids as well. They referred to Jawaharlal Nehru affectionately as “Chacha Nehru,” and their faith in him gave him constant joy.

Despite serving a prison sentence, he nevertheless manages to write The Discovery of India, one of the best books on Indian history. These examples alone should inspire educators and parents. Parents, educators, and thinkers can learn from Nehruji’s experiences how to mould young minds and inspire them to achieve greatness.

Children in our nation are currently fighting for access to fundamental healthcare and education. When it comes to the use of child labour, India is the world leader. Additionally, a lot of these kids are employed in dangerous fields including cutting precious stones, creating matchboxes, and making bangles.

We are putting our future and the future of our children in danger by doing nothing to end child labour and by not ensuring that every child has access to a primary education. Giving every kid in India equal chances and rights was a priority for Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. For children everywhere, having access to education and health services is one of their most important fundamental rights.

In honour of Jawaharlal Nehru and in observance of Children’s Day, let’s pledge that we will endeavour to increase public awareness of the importance of education and the rights of children.

Children are the future of any nation, so if we want to see development in our country, we must work hard to protect our kids from abuse and endeavour to provide them a better future. Furthermore, it is up to us kids to put in the effort necessary to earn the respect of our family and country.

In conclusion, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Children’s Day and send you my warmest regards. Let’s also take this opportunity to rejoice in this day and give thanks for the gift of childhood that has been given to us. But let’s not forget the enormous duty we bear for this society and a better India.

Every year on November 14, which is also Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth day, people celebrate this day. He had an excellent affection for kids and a close relationship with pupils like you. Every teacher, in my opinion, genuinely cares about their pupils because it is people like you that inspire us to go to work each day and work with learners just like you.

“Chacha Nehru,” as he was affectionately known, had a clear vision for the country because he thought that when young people like you all assume responsibility and charge of the many development activities of our Nation, our country can flourish. He reasoned that the only way Indian society could attain the glory it deserves would be via the enthusiasm and aspirations of children.

We all want you kids to adhere to Pundit Nehru’s principles because they will help you grow as people and possibly one day help you emulate him as a great leader. He was a brave and witty man. His distinguishing quality was his idea of never giving up. He was often sent to jail, yet he never lost heart and kept fighting despite all the consequences.

Nehru Ji thought that young people are necessary for the welfare and development of our nation because they are capable of developing fresh ideas and helping to mould our nation in a way that will benefit present and future generations. His concept was primarily based on the idea that by creating numerous educational institutions, we can develop our future talent pool.

We all enjoy celebrating Children’s Day, but have you ever thought what happens to kids whose families have made it impossible for them to send their kids to school? In comparison to Nehru Ji’s vision, the situation of children in India is a far-fetched fantasy. In India, where kids your age serve food to customers in restaurants and wash dishes while putting aside their aspirations of attending school, child labour is a serious problem. You should take the initiative to stop child labour and exploitation wherever you see it happening as young people.

Here we have provided you with the beautiful Children’s Day Speech samples above. Wish you all a very happy children’s day 2022.
