In Tamil Nadu, it has been made mandatory by Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation to link Aadhaar card with TNEB account to deposit electricity bills online. Only those consumers are going to get subsidies on electricity bills, who will have linked aadhaar card with Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation’s TNEB account before the last date.
To link Aadhaar Card with electricity bill in Tamil Nadu it is not mandatory to have the Aadhaar linked Mobile number, a consumer only will have to upload a scan copy of Aadhar Card to complete the aadhaar linking process. Consumers must know that there is no last date defined for TNEB Aadhaar Upload in complete KYC.

1). To link Aadhaar Card to TNEB Electric Bill, firstly a consumer needs to visit the official website of the Tamil Nadu Electric Board, nsc.tnebltd.gov.in/.
2). On the official website of Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation’s TNEB Private Limited an option of the TANGEDCO AADHAAR UPLOAD will be before you, tap on it.
3). Post tapping on the above mentioned option, you will be asked to enter Service Connection Number and then hit the option of the Enter button.
4). Now, you have an option of the Upload Aadhaar Card before you, hit on this option and upload the Aadhaar card of the person in whose name the electricity connection is there, and then tap on the Submit button to complete the process.
Note: The file of Aadhaar Card scan copy must be in .jpg/.jpeg/pdf format with maximum size of 500 KB.
