The birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda is celebrated as National Youth Day annually on January 12. The Government Of India organises National Youth Festival from January 12 to 16 every, which is hosted by one of the States of India. This year, Yuva Diwas Festival is going to be organised by GOI with the hosting state, Karnataka, our Honourable Prime Minister is going to inaugurate the event on January 12, 2023 in Hubballi, Karnataka.
National Youth Day 2023
26th Rastriya Yuva Diwas 2023 is going to be observed on January 12 as Green Youth Festival, where only reusable cutlery, napkins, etc, are going to be used. Firstly, National Youth Day was observed on January 12, 1985 after the declaration of Swami Vivekananda’s birth as Yuwa Diwas. The festival is celebrated at national platforms to showcase youth’s talent through different activities to learn and understand new ideas and initiatives.

The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India is going to celebrate the Nation Youth Festival with Karnataka for five days from January 12 to 14 with great joy, the theme of Rashtriya Yuwa Diwas 2023 is ‘Viksit Yuva, Viksit Bharat’, approximately 30,000 youths across the Nation is going to participate in the inaugural function, where our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, is going to share his vision with all attendees and delegates.

Every Indian is well aware of the name of Swami Vivekananda, this personality has played a very important role in our independence. Swami Vivekananda Jayanti
Swami Vivekananda Jayanti is celebrated every year on January 12 as National Youth Day. His real name was Narendranath Datta, he was born on 12 January 1863 and died on 4 July 1902 at the age of 39. The Government Of India declared his birth anniversary as Rashtriya Yuwa Diwas in 1985 and since then it has been celebrated every year as National Youth Day from January 12 to 16 for 5 days with one hosting State to pay homage to him, his ideology and his contribution in the independence of India.
