SSC MTS Examination Scheme and Paper Pattern
The exam scheme for SSC MTS is structured to objectively evaluate the aptitude and skills necessary for performing the duties involved in a Multi-Tasking Staff role. The SSC MTS exam consists of two main parts: Paper I (Computer-Based Examination) and Paper II (Descriptive Examination). - General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 questions, 25 marks): This section tests logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills through various puzzles, analogies, pattern recognition, and more.
- Numerical Aptitude (25 questions, 25 marks): This segment examines basic arithmetic skills, including operations on numbers, percentages, time and distance, ratios, and averages, among others.
- General English (25 questions, 25 marks): Focused on testing basic understanding of English language, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and correct usage.
- General Awareness (25 questions, 25 marks): Candidates need to be well-versed with current events and everyday observations particularly related to India and its neighbouring countries about history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity and scientific research.
Paper II: Descriptive Examination
Paper II is a descriptive test where candidates are required to write a short essay or a letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. This test assesses elementary language skills in terms of content development and grammar. The topics are generally of national interest, which could include:
