Indian pace bowler Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah was born on 6 December 1993 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Jasprit Bumrah is one of the greatest bowlers that India ever produced in their cricketing history.

With his unique bowling style, Bumrah made many legendary cricketers stumble in international games. Whether it is an international game or a domestic game, Bumrah single-handedly turned many matches in the favour of his captain with his accurate bowling attack.

On the domestic level, Jasprit Bumrah plays first-class cricket for Gujarat and plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. Jasprit is well popular for his fast bowling style and in-swinging vicious yorkers.

His unmatched white ball stats pushed Bumrah into the red-ball format. He made his Test debut in 2018 against South Africa and started to dominate the batters in all three formats.

Apart from bowling, Bumrah also holds the record for scoring the highest number of runs in an over in Test cricket. After Virat Kohli stepped down as Indian captain, Rohit Sharma was promoted to the vacant spot which made Jasprit Bumrah play the vice-captain role for the Indian Test team.

Since December 2023, Bumrah has served as the vice-captain of the Indian Test team and also captained the team once in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Bumrah was one of the key players of the T20 World Cup 2024 winning team.
