The NVS has opened the application window for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test for the academic session 2025-26, the application window is open till 16 September 2024. JNVST Class 6 Application Form 2025

The NVS has released the final prospectus of the JNVST-2025, the candidates & parents can apply for admission to class VI in JNVs through the selection test for the academic session 2025-26. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti conducts a selection test twice a year.

Every year thousands of students participate in the selection test to enroll in JNVs. The authority has opened the application window to submit the online application form for the JNVST-2025. The candidates and parents should apply for the JNVST-2025 before the last date, 16 September 2024. 

Currently, 653 JNVs are active in 08 UTs and 27 states, out of which 20 are Special JNVs to provide quality and affordable education to talented students. According to the JNV, a maximum of eighty students are enrolled in class VI through the JNVST in each JNV though the samiti has the right to reduce the seats.

JNVST Class 6 Eligibility Criteria  2025

Candidates who meet the following eligibility requirements can apply for the JNVST  Class 6 application form:

  • Applicants seeking admission in any JNV district should reside in that district only. 
  • The JNV admission is district-specific, hence applicants can apply for the same district where he/she has studied class V.
  • Applicants must have studied class V in any government or government-aided or other recognized schools or B Certificate course of the National Institute of Open Schooling during 2024-25.
  • Applicants should be born between 1 May 2013 and 31 July 2015 (including both dates) can apply. 
  • Applicants should pass Class IV, III, and V from schools spending one full academic session in each class.

Exclusions:

  •  Candidates who have passed class V before the 2024-25 session cannot apply for the JNVST.
  • Applicants promoted to class V before 31 July 2024 are not eligible to apply for JNVST. 
  • Applicants are not eligible to apply for the JNVST class 6 application form for the second time. 

Documents Required for the JNVST Class 6 Application 2025

Candidates would need the following documents soft copy during the online application of JNVST for the 2025-26 session:

  • Recent Photograph 
  • Parent or guardian Signature
  • Candidates Signature
  • Aadhar Card 
  • Residency certificate 
  • PEN number
  • A certificate verified by the school headmaster with candidate details in the instructed format.

JNVST Class 6 Selection Test 2025 Date

The Samiti will conduct the selection test in two phases for enrollment in Class VI in the 2025-26 academic session on the following dates:

The authority will announce the result in March 2025 for summer-bound JNVs and in May 225 for winter-bound JNVs on the official website. 

How to apply for the JNVST Class 6 2025-26 session?

Candidates interested in the JNVST application for enrollment in Class  VI for the 2025-26 session can follow the below steps to complete their online application:

  • First, go to the official NVS admission portal at
  • Next, click the online application form link for the Class VI JNVST 2025 link on the homepage.
  • Next, click the Registration option for 2025-26. 
  • On the next page, select the appropriate answers on the online application form. 
  • Next, move to the application form and enter the required information, such as basic details, educational details, etc.
  • Next, upload the photograph & signature of the candidate and parent along with the necessary documents. 
  • There is no application fee, so after you upload your documents, review the application and submit the details to complete your online application for JNVST-2025.

The authority will notify about the admit card on the official website during the exam time, candidates should carefully fill out the application form with valid details to ensure their candidature for the JNVST-2025.
