The Chhattisgarh Police Department announced the recruitment drive for the CG Police Constable 2024 back in October 2023. However, its application process started on 1 January 2024 and will conclude on 6 March 2024. This delay was due to some administrative issues.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 5967 vacancies for the positions of Constable (General Duty, Driver, and Tradesman). The CG Police Department will release the CG Police Admit Card on its website at least two weeks before the exam date. Only those who filled out the application form can download it using their credentials.

The CG Police Constable 2024 exam is expected to be conducted in May 2024; however, no official notice in this regard has been published. We will provide the information and exam notice here when the officials publish it.

CG Police Constable 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for the CG Police Constable recruitment includes several stages:

Document Verification- Candidates must present original documents and self-attested copies for verification.

Physical Standards Test (PST)- Measurements of height, chest (for male candidates), and weight are taken to ensure they fit with the standards set by the Chhattisgarh Police Department.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- This stage involves physical activities, including running, long jump, and high jump. Each activity is scored, and candidates must achieve a minimum qualifying score to proceed to the next stage.

Written Examination (For Constable GD) – the written examination consists of multiple-choice questions covering various subjects such as General Knowledge and reasoning. Candidates must score above the cut-off marks to be eligible for the next stage.

Trade or Skill Test (For Driver & Tradesman Posts)- It involves practical tests relevant to the specific trade, such as driving tests for Driver posts and skill tests for various tradesman positions like Cook, Barber, Electrician, etc.

It proves a candidate’s exam eligibility, confirming their identity. Plus, it gives information regarding the exam schedule, including the examination centre’s date, time, and location. The document also contains the candidate’s roll number, necessary for identification during the exam. Without it, candidates will be denied examination entry.
