A Common Entrance Test, designated as Education Common Entrance Test-2024 (APEdCET-2024), will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The purpose of this test is to offer admission into B.Ed. Regular Course and B.Ed. Special Education in the University /Government/ Aided and /Private Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the Academic Year 2024-2025.

AP EDCET Notification – Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
To appear for AP EDCET 2024, candidates must be Indian Nationals and meet local/non-local status requirements specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions. The academic prerequisites include a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant subjects with at least 50% marks (40% for reserved categories).
Age Limit
The candidates should have completed 19 years on the 1st of July in the year notification is issued. There is no maximum age limit.
Application/Exam Fee
The candidates must pay an examination fee to complete their registration for AP EDCET 2024. The following fees must be paid by the applicants online as per their categories.
- For SC/ ST Categories: ₹450/-
- For BC Candidates: ₹500/-
- For General & Other Categories: ₹650/-
