Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer at Atlassian, you will:
✅ Influence product teams to drive data-driven decisions.
✅ Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics Platform teams.
✅ Partner with data producers and consumers to ensure high-quality and valuable data assets.
✅ Develop strategies for data measurement, collection, and insight generation.
Your work will play a crucial role in enhancing product experience, optimizing costs, and driving strategic decisions.
What You’ll Do
As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities will span various aspects of data management, including:
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Defining and implementing data metrics.
🔹 Instrumenting logging and data acquisition.
🔹 Architecting and modeling scalable data solutions.
🔹 Transforming raw data into meaningful insights.
🔹 Ensuring data governance, quality, and compliance.
🔹 Developing monitoring tools, visualizations, and reports.

What You Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a STEM field.
💻 Proficiency in Python or another modern programming language.
🗃️ Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
📊 Post-graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, or Computer Science.
🛠️ 1-2 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
💡 Understanding of SaaS business models and data structures.
🚀 Experience in Enterprise Software product development.
