The Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has opened a portal for online applications to recruit teachers for various Army Public Schools (APS) across India. This APS recruitment process seeks to fill positions for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Primary Teacher (PRT) in schools that are affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and managed by local military authorities.

The application process commenced on 10th September 2024, and candidates need to submit their applications before the deadline of 25th October 2024. As the application process is entirely online, candidates must complete their registrations within the given time frame. Late applications will not be accepted under any circumstances. The OST will be conducted on the 23rd and 24th of November 2024, with the 25th of November set as a reserve date for additional candidates.

AWES Educational Qualification

For those aspiring to join as educators, APS has set specific educational benchmarks depending on the teaching level:

  • PGT (Post Graduate Teacher): Requires a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks, alongside a professional B.Ed. Degree.
  • TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher): Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with a 50% minimum in relevant subjects and a B.Ed. Degree.
