CISF Fireman Recruitment 2024
CISF invites online applications from eligible male Indian citizens to fill the temporary posts of Fireman. The authority will recruit candidates for the 36 states/UTs, and on appointment, the candidates will be governed under the CISF Act and rules.Ā
According to the notification, CISF plans to fill up 1130 vacant posts of Firemen in the various states/UTs. Candidates interested in the Recruitment drive for the Fireman posts can submit their online applications from 31 August 2024 to 30 September 2024.Ā
The selection of the candidates will be based on the candidateās performance in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test, Document Verification, and CBT/OMR-based Written Examination. On appointment, the successful candidates will receive Level 3 pay (ā¹21,700 ā ā¹69,100).

CISF Fireman Vacancy 2024

CISF Fireman Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates who wish to work in the CISF can check their eligibility to apply for the Fireman post through the following eligibility criteria:
Age Limit:
- Applicants minimum age should be 18 years, whereas maximum age should be 23 years on the closing date of the online application, 30 September 2024.Ā
- The upper age is relaxed for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), Ex-servicemen (3 years after deducting the military service age), people affected in 1984 riots (UR-5 years, OBC-8 years, and SC/ST-10 years).
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants must have cleared the intermediate or equivalent course or qualification from a recognized board/University in the science stream on or before the closing date of application.Ā
CISF Fireman Selection Process 2024
The CISF will select the candidates for the post of Fireman based on the following selection process:
- Physical Efficiency Test: The authority will call all the applicants for the PET on the designated date & venue. The candidate who clears the running event & height bard test of PET will qualify for the Physical Standard Test (PST). The Ex-servicemen are exempted from the PET, they will directly qualify for the PST.
- Physical StandardTest: The Recruiting officers will screen height(170 cms), chest (80-85 cms), and weight to assess the capability of the candidates for the post. The candidates should note the qualification for PST is relaxed for some candidates, so you should check the notification for detailed info.
- Document Verification: Applicants who clear PET, followed by PST will be called for document verification, the candidates are advised to produce all the original documents for the screening.Ā
- Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in PET/PST/DV will be eligible to sit for the 100-mark written examination in subjects- General Knowledge and awareness, English/Hindi, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and Elementary mathematics.
The candidates who successfully qualify for the PET/PST/DV/Written examination will be shortlisted based on their written examination scores for medical examinations.Ā Ā Ā
