Recruitment & Assessment centre (RAC) is inviting applications to the posts of Scientists for Defence Research & development Organisation (DRDO), Hyderabad. The posts are to be filled on contractual basis. Initially the contract will be till 18th April 2027 which may be extended depending upon the performance of the Project Scientist and if the requirement exists
About RAC:
RAC, the Recruitment and Assessment Centre of DRDO was set up on 23 July 1985 after getting exemption from the purview of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). It is situated at Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi. RAC has undertaken various recruitment programmes to induct scientists each year in variety of scientific and engineering disciplines relevant to DRDO Laboratories and assessed the suitability of DRDO scientists for promotion to next higher grade through duly constituted Assessment Boards/ Peer Committee.

- For Project Scientist ‘D’: not exceeding 45 years.

Selection Procedure
Selection of the candidates will be on based on their performance in the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted to interview based on their performance in the Technical Screening (Level 1 & Level 2). The final selection of candidates will be purely on the basis of merit of marks scored by a candidate in the final personal interview only. The minimum qualifying marks required by the candidate in the personal interview for consideration for selection are 70% for all Unreserved vacancies and 60% for all reserved vacancies.
