GPSC STI Notification 2024
GPSC invites online applications from eligible candidates for State Tax Inspector, Class III posts, the posts are reserved for the SEBC, SC, ST, EWS & women candidates as well, and in case the women candidates are not available the remaining seats will be offered to male candidates of the same category.
According to the detailed notification, the commission plans to fill up the 300 State Tax Inspector posts. Candidates interested in the GPSC STI recruitment drive can apply online as the application window is opened on 12 August 2024. The last date to submit your application for GPSC STI 2024 is 31 August 2024 (11:59 PM).
The Commission will conduct the preliminary test in December 2024 for the selection of the candidates for the Mains examination. According to the notification, the commission can release the Preliminary examinations for the STI in May 2025. On appointment, the candidates will receive a fixed pay of ₹49,600 for 5 years.

GPSC STI Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates interested in the GPSC STI 2024 recruitment drive can check their eligibility to apply for the post from the below eligibility criteria:
Citizenship
- Applicant must be an Indian Nationals, or subject of Bhutan/Nepal ot Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1962, or
- An Indian-origin applicant who migrated to settle in India from the East African countries of Kenya, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Burma (Myanmar), Tanzania, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, etc., and has a government-authorized certificate proving their eligibility.
Age Limit:
- Applicants must have attained the age of 20 years and he/she should not be more than 35 years of age on the last date of application submission, 31 August 2024.
- The upper age is relaxed for the Gujarat State eWS/SEBC/SC/ST candidates (5 years), Gujarat Women candidates from EWS/SEBC/SC/ST (10 years), UR women Candidates (5 years), PwD (10 years), and for ex-servicemen, they can deduct the military service period from his actual age.
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University established under the Central or State Act.
- Applicants must possess a basic knowledge of Computer applications functioning.
- Applicants should know either Gujarati or Hindi or both of the languages.
- Applicants who have appeared for the final examinations or semester of their graduation can also apply for the post.
GPSC STI Application Fee 2024
The unreserved male/female candidates interested in the GPSC STI recruitment drive must pay the application fee of ₹100 in the following ways:
- Post Office: The Unreserved candidates must print the challan from the application window, take a copy of the challan to their nearest post office, and pay the fee before 02 September 2024.
- Online: Candidates can process the application fee online via Net Banking or card payment on the application window. The candidates must get the fee receipt after depositing the STI application fee.
Steps to apply for the GPSC STI Notification 2024
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements of the GPSC STI 2024 recruitment can apply for the post through the following steps:

- Next, scroll down and click the Apply online tab on the homepage of GPSC.
- Next, look for the State Tax Inspector, Class III Apply link and click the Apply tab.
- Again look for the State Tax Inspector post and click the apply link to be redirected to the application page of the State Tax Inspector post.
- Next, read the instructions carefully and click the Apply Now button.
- Next, click on New registration if you haven’t done the One-time registration or if you have OTR you can type in the OTR number and DOB and apply with OTR.
- The new register must complete the GPSC OTR registration facilities to receive their OTR and apply for the GPSC STI post.
- After the OTR, you can access the application form for the GPSC STI 2024 and fill in all the details in the form correctly.
- Next, upload the photograph & signature, and other necessary documents on the GPSC portal to prove your claims.
- Next, pay the applicable application fee through your preferred ways mentioned above.
- After the transaction, your GPSC STI 2024 application is completed.
