The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) conducted the State Eligibility Test (HP SET) on 28 April 2024 in different cities across the state. Further, the commission’s examination authority will declare the results of this exam.
Thousands of candidates took this examination as it serves as a gateway to be selected for the Assistant Professor in the colleges and universities of Himachal Pradesh. This examination was conducted to check the candidate’s general knowledge and subject-specified knowledge.

HP SET Exam Schedule & Overview
The commission conducted Paper I (General Knowledge) and Paper II (Subject-Specified). Paper I comprised 50 questions with a total of 100 marks, each carried 02 marks per correct answer and Paper II comprised 100 questions, totalling 200 marks.
It was organised to check the teaching ability of the candidates. This examination was held on the scheduled date and time with the take care of the commission. Here is the exam schedule:

Result Preparation Process & Merit List
The result will be made based candidate’s responses. The commission will evaluate the candidates’ answer sheets and analyse their performance. After computing the sheets, the commission will prepare a merit list of the qualified candidates.
Shortlisted candidates can check their name, roll number and their qualifying marks in the merit list. The result will be declared as a merit list officially. Those who will get higher marks than the minimum qualifying marks will be awarded in the merit list.
Himachal Pradesh SET Cut-Off Marks
All appeared candidates must review the cut-off marks to assess their performance in the examination. The cut-off marks are also known as minimum qualifying marks, which are given by the commission before the announcement of the result.
The HP SET Cut Off Marks play a crucial role in helping candidates gauge their performance and potential results. The commission has released the 40% marks for the General category as minimum qualifying marks, and for other categories, it will be 35% marks. These percentages will be for both papers.

- Look for the “Result” tab and click on the “Written Exam” section.
- On the screen, a list of all results will be in front of you.

- Click on the link and enter the required details like roll number, date of birth and captcha code.
- After submitting, the result pdf will be opened on the page.
- Check your results and take a printout of the result for further selection process.
