Notification for recruitment of Probationary Officers in any of the eleven participating banks in the IBPS PO Exam 2024 is released officially by the IBPS on 01 August 2024. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is released the notification for the IBPS PO Exam 2024 on 01 August 2024. Candidates who are eagerly waiting for the release of the advertisement can apply by visiting the official website, which is accessible at by August 28, 2024.

Notification for IBPS PO Exam 2024 is released officially on August 1, 2024 and then the application form is available till 28 August. To apply online, a window will be available on the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection’s official website until the deadline.

IBPS PO Exam Date 2024

Exam Date for IBPS PO 2024 is announced officially by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Preliminary exams will take place on 19 and 20 October 2024, and those who clear the first stage will be called for Mains, which is tentatively scheduled to be held on 30 November 2024.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2024

To participate in the IBPS PO Exam 2024, in order to be appointed as a Probationary Officer in any of the eleven participating banks, an individual must meet the following criterias:

Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree from a UGC recognised institution.
Computer Literacy Working knowledge of computer systems
Language Proficiency Verbal and written proficiency of State or UT’s official language.
Nationality / Citizenship Citizen of India, Subject of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan Refugee, Person of Indian Origin (PIO)
Age Limit Minimum: 20 years old, Maximum: 30 years old
Age Relaxation SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PWD: 10 years, Ex-Servicemen: 5 years, Widows/Divorced Women: 9 years

  • Medium: English & Hindi 
  • Number of Questions: 100 (30 in English Language, 35 each in Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability)
  • Maximum Marks: 100
  • Marking Scheme:
    • Each correct answer: +1 mark
    • Each incorrect answer: -0.25 mark

Mains:

  • Mode: Online
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Sections:
    • Reasoning & Computer Aptitude
    • English Language
    • Data Analysis & Interpretation
    • General Economy & Banking Awareness
    • English Language (Letter Writing & Essay)
  • Medium: English & Hindi 
  • Number of Questions: 155 (45 in Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, 35 each in English Language and Data Analysis & Interpretation, 40 in General Economy & Banking Awareness, 2 in English Language for Letter Writing & Essay)
  • Maximum Marks: 225 (200 in Objective sections, 25 in English Language for Letter Writing & Essay)
  • Marking Scheme:
    • Each correct answer: +1 mark
    • Each incorrect answer: -0.25 mark

Interview:

  • Mode: Face-to-face
  • Duration: Generally 15-20 minutes
  • Marks: Maximum of 100
  • Content: Questions related to the candidate’s background, banking sector, current affairs, and general awareness.

Candidates who will clear all these three stages and get at least cut off marks as aggregate will be shortlisted to be appointed as PO in any of the 11 participating banks.
