The Indian Bank invites online applications for Local Bank officer posts in applied states only, such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu/ Puducherry, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.

The organization plans to fill up the 300 Local Bank officers in the applied states through this recruitment drive. The bank opened the application window for the Local Bank Officer posts on 13 August 2024 for the interested candidates, the last date to apply is 02 September 2024. 

The bank will decide the selection process based on the number of applications received, such as a Written/ Online test followed by an interview or selection through interview only.  The selected candidates will be on a probation period of 2 years with a monthly pay scale of ₹48,400 with other allowances.

Citizenship:

• Applicant must be an Indian citizen or Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01 Jan 1962, or subject of Bhutan/Nepal, or
• An Indian-origin person who migrated and settled in India from Vietnam, Malawi, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma (Myanmar), Uganda, East African countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Zaire, and Ethiopia and has the government-authorized certificate in favor of their eligibility.

• The upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (03 years), PwBD (10 years), persons affected by the 1984 riots (5 years), and Ex-servicemen (5 years).

Educational Qualification:

• Applicants must have completed their graduation in any discipline from the Government of India-recognized University/college or any equivalent course recognized by the central government. 
• Candidates would be proficient in the regional languages of the State, such as Telugu for AP & Telangana, Tamil for TN/Puducherry, Kannada for Karnataka, etc.
