The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has announced the recruitment for Constable Driver posts for the year 2024. A total of 545 vacancies are available under Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) roles. This is a great opportunity for eligible male candidates across the country to secure a government job in ITBP as a driver. Candidates with a 10th pass qualification and a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License can apply. ITBP Driver Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) from a recognized board or institution. Additionally, they must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License to be eligible for the Constable Driver post.
Age Limit
The age limit for applying is between 18 and 27 years. However, age relaxations are provided for candidates belonging to certain reserved categories, as per government rules.
Registration Fee
For the application, candidates falling under the General (Gen), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories are required to pay a registration fee of ₹100. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) categories are exempted from paying any fee. The fee can be paid online through various payment modes.

ITBP Driver Selection Process
The selection process consists of multiple stages. First, candidates have to pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Physical Standards Test (PST). After clearing these tests, candidates will proceed to the Written Examination, which will include questions on General Knowledge, Mathematics, English, Hindi, and trade-related theory.
Following the written test, candidates will undergo Document Verification and a Driving Test to assess their practical skills. Finally, a Medical Examination will be conducted to ensure the physical fitness of the candidates. Based on the overall performance in these tests, a final merit list will be prepared
