The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) will conduct the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam for 2024. The exam schedule is yet to be announced afresh by the commission.

The JSSC CGL 2024 exam admit card will be released on the official website. The candidates can use the link added below to download the JSSC Admit Card. It is essential to download and take a printout of the admit card.

Update on the exam date

Earlier, the exam was scheduled for 28 January and February 2024. The examination for 28 February was completed, but later on, the commission decided to cancel the exam due to the Paper Leak issue.  Following this, the examination for 04 February could not take place. The commission will not conduct the examination afresh in the upcoming days.

The registration process for the exam started on 11 August 2023 and ended on 15 August 2023. The exam is scheduled for two days, with different papers being conducted on different dates. The exams will be held at various centres across Jharkhand.

Selection process

Written Exam- The written exam is an objective-type test where candidates must answer multiple-choice questions. This exam has three papers, each focusing on different subject areas.

Document Verification- Candidates are called for document verification after successfully passing the written exams. Candidates must present all necessary original documents for verification. Candidates who clear this stage and meet all eligibility criteria are considered for the final merit list.

Paper pattern (1, 2, and 3)

Paper 1 – Language:

  • This paper tests the candidates’ language proficiency, typically including both Hindi and English.
  • The format comprises multiple-choice questions.
  • The total marks for this paper are 360, with 120 questions.
  • The duration of this paper is 2 hours.
  • For every correct answer, candidates are awarded 3 marks.
  • There is a negative marking scheme, where 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

Paper 2 (Regional or Tribal Language):

  • Candidates are tested on a regional or tribal language of their choice.
  • This paper also consists of objective-type questions.
  • There are 100 questions, with the paper totalling 300 marks.
  • The duration for this paper is set at 2 hours.
  • The marking scheme is similar to Paper 1, with negative marking for incorrect answers.

Paper 3 (General Knowledge):

  • This paper covers a broad range of topics including General Science, Mathematics, Mental Ability, Computer Knowledge, Jharkhand-specific General Knowledge, and other general subjects.
  • It includes 150 questions, contributing to a total of 450 marks.
  • The time allotted for this paper is 2 hours.
  • It also has negative markings for incorrect answers.

JSSC CGL 2024 Admit Card Information

It includes the candidate’s name, photograph, and signature. The admit card will specify the time and venue, of the exam. The admit card has instructions that candidates must follow on the day of the exam, including the reporting time, items allowed inside the examination hall, and other guidelines.

Candidates must carry the admit card to the examination centre, as failure to present it can result in disqualification from the exam. Keeping the admit card safe is advisable until the entire recruitment process is completed.

Downloading the admit card for the JSSC CGL exam is a straightforward process that can be completed in a few simple steps:

  2. On the homepage, click on the ‘Admit Card’ tab.
  3. Then, click on the ‘JSSC CGL Admit Card 2024’ link.
  4. This link will redirect you to the admit card download page.
  5. You will be required to enter your registration details, such as the registration number, password, or date of birth, as specified on the page.
