Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana Payment Date, Eligibility, How to apply?

Maharasht Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is the inspiration of MP’s Ladli Behna Yojana and is focusing on the idea of providing financial support to more than one crore underprivileged women. The first instalment of the scheme received the benefit on August 17, 2024 on the occasion of raksha bandhan.

Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana Payment Date

The Government of Maharashtra has officially launched ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’ program on the occasion of raksha bandhan. It allows Rs 1,500 each month as a stipend to eligible women from 21 to 65 years of age from families whose annual income is below Rs 2.5 lakh.

The Maharashtra government has already begun the process to disburse the first instalment, which covers two months of July and August, amounting to Rs. 3,000. The assurance had also come from the government side that the first instalment will be released ahead of the Rakshabandhan.

Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana

A woman has to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana:

• Permanent resident of Maharashtra state: The applicant shall be a permanent resident with an address within the limits of Maharashtra.
• The age shall be between 21 years and 65 years. The woman’s age should fit into this particular age group.
• No restriction on marital status: Married, unmarried, widow, divorcee, or separated women are all eligible.
• Family income to be less than Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum: The total annual income of the applicant family shall not exceed this limit.
• Active bank account. The applicant shall have a valid bank account in her name.
• No government job. The applicant or any immediate family member shall not be working in a government job.
• No income tax payer. The applicant or any family member shall not be an income tax payer.

How to apply for the Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana?

The Maharashtra government has been made simple by introducing the Nari Shakti Doot App in the application procedure of Ladki Bahin Yojana. Given below are the steps for applying:

• The Nari Shakti Doot App must be downloaded from the Google Play Store in case of Android devices and the Apple App Store in the case of iOS devices.
• Open the app and sign up by providing your mobile number and any other details required.
• Log in using your credentials into the account.
• Head to the Ladki Bahin Yojana section in the app.
• Fill the given form for online application with all correct information. This shall include details like 
  • personal, family and bank information,
  •  the Aadhaar number, etc. Other documents, if needed. 
  • Scan and upload documents : Aadhaar card, 
  • Address proof, 
  • Income certificate, 
  • Bank passbook Passport-size photographs 
• Carefully check all information entered and then submit the application.
• Once submitted, you shall receive an acknowledgment or an application number, which will be useful for further use.

The application deadline has been extended to August 31, 2024, from July 15 due to the expected large number of applications.
