Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
The educational qualifications required for different trades are as follows:
Group A (10th Class Passed)
- Trades: Draftsman (Mechanical), Electrician, Fitter, Pipe Fitter, Structural Fitter
- Minimum 50% marks in SSC for General/OBC/EWS/DIVYANG/AFC candidates. Pass class for SC/ST.
Group B (I.T.I Passed)
- Trades: Fitter Structural, Draftsman (Mechanical), Electrician, ICTSM, Electronic Mechanic, RAC, Pipe Fitter, Welder, COPA, Carpenter
- Minimum 50% marks in ITI for General/OBC/EWS/DIVYANG/AFC candidates. Pass class for SC/ST.
Group C (8th Class Passed)
- Trades: Rigger, Welder (Gas & Electric)
- Minimum 50% marks in 8th Std for General/OBC/EWS/DIVYANG/AFC candidates. Pass class for SC/ST.
Age Limit
As of 01-10-2024, the age limit for different groups is:
- Group A: 15 to 19 years
- Group B: 16 to 21 years
- Group C: 14 to 18 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- DIVYANG: 10 years
Selection Process
The selection of candidates for the Trade Apprenticeship will be done in three stages:
Online Examination (Computer-Based Test – CBT)
- Group A: 10th class level questions
- Group B: ITI level questions
- Group C: 8th class level questions
Document Verification and Trade Allotment
- Candidates who clear the CBT will be called for document verification and trade allotment based on merit.
Medical Examination
- Finally, selected candidates will undergo a medical examination per the Apprenticeship Act 1992.
