The Indian Navy is initiating a recruitment drive for Agniveer MR (Matric Recruit) and SSR (Senior Secondary Recruitment) for batch 2/2024. This notification was released on 03 May 2024 at joinindiannavy.gov.in. The organization concluded the application process for these posts on 27 May 2024.

Navy Agniveer Selection Process

The selection of eligible candidates for Agniveer (MR and SSR) in the Indian Navy is based on their performance in multiple recruitment phases as mentioned below:

  • Written Examination – In the first phase, the applicants are called for the written test based on the category they applied for.
  • Physical Tests – The qualified candidates will be called for the Physical Tests.
  • Medical Tests – The candidates who qualify for the written and physical tests will appear for the further round, i.e. Medical Tests.

Agniveer Exam Scheme and Detailed Syllabus

  • The written exam will be conducted online.
  • Questions will be asked on different subjects and topics.
  • Objective-type multiple-choice questions will be asked.
  • One mark will be given for each correct answer.
  • 0.25 marks will be deducted for incorrect responses.

Matric Recruits (MR) Syllabus

The Matric Recruits (MR) syllabus focuses on candidates who have completed their matriculation (10th grade). The syllabus is divided into two sections: Science and Mathematics and General Awareness.

  7. Current Affairs: Recent events and updates in national and international contexts.
  8. Languages, Capitals, and Currencies: General knowledge about different languages, capitals of states and countries, and their currencies.
  9. Eminent Personalities: Notable figures in various fields.
  10. National Symbols: National bird, animal, sport, flower, anthem, song, flag, and monuments.
  11. Sports: Information about championships, winners, sports terms, and number of players.

Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) Syllabus

The Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) syllabus is designed for candidates who have completed their senior secondary education (12th grade). The syllabus covers four main subjects: Science, Mathematics, English, and General Awareness. Check the below table for the subject-wise syllabus:
