The RPSC invites online applications from Indian nationals for the appointment of Geologist and Assistant Mining engineer posts under the Rajasthan Mines and Geology Service Rules for the Department of Mines and Geology. 

According to the notification, the commission plans to fill 56 vacant posts through the recruitment drive. Interested candidates can apply online for their preferred posts from 22 July 2024 till 20 August 2024 (midnight).

RPSC Geologist & AME Eligibility Criteria 2024

Interested candidates must check their eligibility to apply for the 2024 RPSC Geologist & AME recruitment notification from the below eligibility criteria:

Age Limit:

• Applicants’ minimum age on 1 January 2025 must be 20 years or a maximum of 40 years. 
• The age relaxation is applicable for male SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS candidates (5 years), Women SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS candidates (10 years), Women from the Unreserved category (5 years), and no limit for widows and divorced women.

Educational Qualification:

• Geologist:
  • Applicants applying must have a postgraduate degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University established by Indian law or
  • Diploma in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

• AME:
  • Applicant must have a degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University established by Indian law or AMIE part A & B of the Institution of Engineers, or 
  • Diploma in Mining Engineering from Indian Schools of Mines & Applied Geology, or equivalent qualification recognized by the government.

Candidates who wish to apply for the RPSC Geologist & AME positions must know the following applicable application fee based on their category: 

If the candidates will correct or modify their OTR profile, they will have to pay the correction charges of ₹500. The mode of application fee payment is online, you can pay the application fee through your preferred online payment method. 

Steps to apply for the RPSC Geologist & AME Recruitment 2024

Candidates should complete and update their OTR profile on the SSO portal of Rajasthan before applying for the posts. The candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for the RPSC Geologist and AME posts can apply in the following steps:

• First, go to the official RPSC website mentioned above or you can also go to the SSO portal at
• Next, navigate to the RPSC online and click the Apply online option. 
• Next,  click on the New Application Portal option given below. 
• Now enter your Login digital identity and password with a captcha to access your SSO dashboard or proceed to registration if you haven’t made the OTR profile. 
• Next, go to the Citizen Apps (G2C) and click the Recruitment portal option.
• Now, enter your OTR number by which your name, address, parent’s name, and other details will automatically appear on the screen, check the details, and ensure your updated email address and mobile number are registered on the portal.  
• Next, move to the application form for the post you wish to apply for from Geologist and AME posts. 
• Next, check the basic and educational details and upload the photo and signature in the instructed format with the required documents. 
• Next, move to pay the applicable application fee based on your category on the portal. 
• After a successful transaction, you will receive a confirmation message for your complete application for RPSC recruitment. 
• Remember, to save or get the hard copy of the submitted application for future use of the application in the recruitment process.
