RRB ALP Selection Process
First Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-1)- This initial screening phase aims to evaluate the candidate’s general intelligence, reasoning, mathematical ability, and awareness of current affairs. It filters the large number of applicants to a manageable number for the following stages.
Second Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-2)- The second computer-based test for the Assistant Loco Pilot job has two parts. Part A asks questions on Math, Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering, and Current Affairs. Part B tests the specific technical knowledge needed for the job.
Computer-Based Aptitude Test (Only for ALP)- This test evaluates the candidate’s psychomotor skills and presence of mind. Candidates need to secure a minimum score to qualify for this test, and the score is only applicable to candidates applying for the ALP post.
Document Verification- Candidates are required to present original documents to verify their authenticity.
Medical Examination- Includes vision test, fitness test, and other health-related assessments to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties of an ALP.
