Austin Forkner has grown up on a farm, his family has 4000 hogs, 100 cattle, and 1200 acres of land to look after. Racing is in his blood as both his parents are into racing. His father Mike was a motocross rider, and his mother Julie was a barrel racer on horses.
Forkner’s dad Mike was a crop farmer before his son became a professional moto racer. Austin had the full support of his parents when he wanted to make a career in motorcycle racing. He started motocross at the mere age of five.

In Ponca City, he enrolled in the Amateur National Event, where he ranked in the top 10. In 2010, he was the only young rider to bag two National Titles under his name at Loretta’s. His personality and talent made him a popular name in the field.
When he won his first AMA National title at Loretta’s, he got the offer to join as the factory-supported rider in the amateur team Kawasaki Team Green.
