Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2024 Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

Tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) has recently released the TN NEET UG counseling provisional rank list for MBBS/BDS 2024 admissions. Candidates who have registered for NEET UG 2024 medical counseling can check the further process here.

The DMER Selection Committee administers and manages the NEET UG counseling for admission to MBBD/BDS courses in various State Medical and dental colleges. The DMER conducted the NEET UG counselling for the government and management quota Round -1 from 31 July 2024, the eligible candidates who cleared the NEET UG 2024 have registered for the counselling. 

According to the schedule, the registration for Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 counselling for Round 1 Management and government quota was closed on 8 August 2024. Now, the authority has released the merit/rank list of registered candidates separately for both government and management quotas on 19 August 2024.

How to check the Provisional merit list of TN NEET UG 2024 counseling?

Candidates who registered for the TN NEET UG 2024 Counselling can check their provisional merit list to certain they qualify for the admission counselling through the following steps:

• First, go to the official website of the Selection Committee, DMRE at
• Next, go to the UG courses section and navigate to the provisional merit list for Admission to MBBS/BDS courses for the Management quota or Governemnt quota you have applied for. 
• Next, click the link and find your name in the provisional rank list PDF through the CTRL+F command. 

The provisional merit list includes the application number, rank, and name of the candidates for the NEET UG Counselling 2024, your name in the provisional merit list determines your eligibility for the further process of counseling. 

What’s next after the TN NEET UG 2024 Counselling Provisional merit list?

The candidates with their names in the provisional merit list should follow the next step of the TN NEET UG 2024 counselling to continue the following counselling process:

• After the merit list declaration, the registered candidates should fill out the choice filling form with his/her preferential order for the colleges they wish to study. The choice filling form should be filled in at the designated time and candidates should lock their seat preferences timely.  
• After the choice filling, the authority will announce the seat allotment results based on the rank/merit list and choices filled by the candidates. 
• After the Round 1 seat allotment result declaration, the candidates have to pay the acceptance fee to download the seat allotment letter and report to the allotted institute with original documents for document verification and respected tuition fees mentioned on the official website. The candidates should report to the college on the designated period otherwise their seat will be canceled. 

Documents Required for the TN NEET UG Counselling 2024 College Reporting 

After the Round 1 Seat allotment result, successful candidates should carry the following documents to the allotted institute:

• NEET UG 2024 Scorecard and admit card
• Educational certificates of 10th, 11th, and 12th
• Proof of study from Class 6 to 12th in Tamil Nadu
• School leaving certificate or Bonafide Certificate 
• Community Certificate (if applicable)
• Nativity Certificate 
• Parent’s Income Certificate

For candidates who belong to special categories IPwBD, Ex-servicemen Children, and Eminent sports persons), their NEET UG 2024 counselling will commence on 22 August 2024. The counseling will be done offline, the candidates should be present at the designated counselling center with their parents,  with a Demand draft of ₹500, and all the original documents mandatory for the counselling. 

The TN NEET UG 2024 counselling has released the provisional merit list, the successful candidates can move to the next step of the counselling to get admission to their desired college. The authority can release the TN NEET UG 2024 seat allotment result by the end of August 2024.
