TNEA 3rd Round Seat Allotment 2024 for BE and BTech to be Released!

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Counselling has reached the third round. The engineering aspirants who registered for the TNEA 2024 counselling are now waiting for the seat allotment result; such candidates can check the article to know the expected date and other details.

TNEA 3rd Round Seat Allotment 2024

The Department of Technical Education conducts the TAEA counselling for students seeking admission to B.Tech courses in the state engineering colleges/Universities. The TNEA counselling for the Academic year 2024-25 commenced on 6 May 2024. 

Now, the DOTE has started the 3-round choice filling of Counselling from today, 23 August 2024 for candidates with ranks between 104603 and 197601. Candidates who have registered for the second round of forward movement can check the provisional allotment list as well on the official website. 

In the third round, the candidates will get the seat left after the second round. The candidates can fill out the choice filling form for Round 3 of TNEA Counselling 2024 till 25 August 2024. The candidates wondering about the seat allotment result can expect the result on 26 August 2024. 

How to check the 2024  TNEA 3rd round Seat allotment result?

The students can check the TNEA Round 3 counselling seat allotment result on the official website through the following steps:

  • First, go to the official website of TNEA at
  • Next, look for the provisional allotment link for the third round of TNEA 2024 counselling.
  • Next,  click the allotment link and log in to the TNEA portal with your login credentials. 
  • After you submit the details the seat allotment PDF of the third round of 2024 TNEA counselling.
  • Candidates can find their name or application number through the CTRL+F command and check the allotted college code and branch on the list.

The provisional seat allotment list will include information, such as candidate name, application number, DOB, Community, rank, aggregate marks, college code, branch code, and allotted category. 

What’s next after the TNEA 3rd Round Seat allotment?

After the authority publishes the TNEA Round 3 seat allotment result the candidates should follow the below procedure:

  • Seat allotment confirmation: The candidates with allotted seats should confirm their seat allotment with one of the six options, accept & join (candidates who are happy with the allotted seat and wish to join the college, accept and proceed upward (candidates who accept their seat but want to pursue allotment to their higher choice), decline and Upward(candidates who reject the seat and wants to move upward), decline and quit (Candidates who reject the seat and want to quit the counselling), Upward or proceed to next round (candidates with non-allotment can avail this option).
  • Release of provisional seat allotment for candidates who accept & join: Candidates who confirm their choice by 27 August 2024 can check the provisional allotment list of the accept & join candidates on 28 August 2024. 
  • Reporting to the college: Candidates who went with the option of “accept & join” should report to the allotted institutes with their original documents and the course fee to complete their admission process between 28 August 2024 to 01 September 2024. The candidates who went with the Accept & upward option should also download the allotment letter, visit their nearest TFC to pay the tuition fee and submit the original certificates to lock their seats.

The candidates who opted for the upward movement can check the provisional allotment list on  04 September 2024. The candidates should know that candidates who do not report to the college, their seat will be canceled and their candidature will be cancelled too for further allotment.

Documents needed for the 2024 TNEA Round 3 College reporting 

Aspiring candidates who select the Accept & join option should prepare the following documents to report at the allotted institute:

  • Round 3 Seat allotment letter
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Educational Certificate
  • Special Reservation Certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhar Card
  • Parent Income details 
  • Disability certificate (if applicable)
  • School Leaving Certificate
  • Nativity Certificate 
  • SriLankan Tamil Refugee Certificate (if applicable)
  • Government study proof from class VI to XII.
  • Other documents necessary to prove your application claim

The candidates from general academic and reservation for government school studies can check the TNEA round 3 seat allotment result on 26 August 2024 and confirm their choice by 27 August 2024.
