• Educational Qualification: A candidate must possess a minimum educational qualification of SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) i.e. Class X (10th) Examination from a recognised board with Tamil as a subject.
• Age Limit: One must be aged between 18 to 26. Backward Class, Backward Class (Muslim), and Most Backward Class/Denotified Community have a 3-year age relaxation, while Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar), and Scheduled Tribe have a 5-year relaxation.
