The Examination Regulatory Authority of Uttar Pradesh has officially released the notification for UP D.EL.Ed (BTC) 2024 Admission, inviting applications for the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed) course for the academic session 2024-2026. The UP DELEd, also known as the Basic Training Certificate (BTC), is a two-year diploma course for those who aspire to become primary school teachers in Uttar Pradesh.
Unlike previous years, no entrance exam will be conducted for admission in 2024. Instead, admissions will be based on a merit list generated from the candidates’ academic performance in their qualifying degree. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online starting from 18th September 2024. The last date for registration is 9th October 2024, while the final date for fee payment is 10th October 2024.

UP BTC Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed their high school and intermediate exams from schools recognized by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, or ICSE. In addition, they should have completed their graduation with at least 50% marks from a university or college approved by the UGC. However, candidates from the SC, ST, OBC, Disabled, Freedom Fighter Dependents, and Ex-Servicemen (Self) categories can apply if they have scored at least 45% marks in their graduation.
D.El.Ed Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 18 years old as of 1st July 2024, and the maximum age limit is 35 years. However, age relaxations are applicable according to government rules for reserved categories such as SC/ST and PH candidates.

Candidates can make the payment for the UP D.EL.Ed 2024 application through various methods, including Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or through SBI Collect.
