UP Police SI Admit Card 2024, Check Written Exam Date and Paper Pattern

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) announced the recruitment for Sub Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) positions on December 28, 2023. This recruitment drive aims to fill 921 vacancies across various cadres.

The application period for the UP Police SI was set from January 7, 2024, to January 31, 2024. The examination is expected to be conducted in the upcoming month. Candidates appearing for it will need the UP Police SI Admit Card to enter the examination hall.

It can be downloaded from its official website at least two weeks before the decided exam date. Applicants can download it using their registration ID and password. We will provide a direct link to access it when the officials release it on its website.

UP Police SI (Sub-Inspector) Selection Process

Written Examination- The initial assesses the candidates’ knowledge and understanding of various subjects. This exam is qualifying, and candidates must score above the cut-off marks to be eligible for the next stage of the selection process.

Document Verification- Candidates who pass the test are required to undergo document verification. During this stage, candidates must present original documents, including educational certificates, identity proof, domicile certificates, and any other documents mentioned in the notification.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- After qualifying in the written test, candidates are called for the Physical Measurement Test. This stage assesses the physical standards of the candidates, such as height, chest (for males), and weight, as per the criteria laid down by the UPPRPB.

Skill Test (For Specific Posts)- For positions such as ASI (Clerk), a skill test may be conducted to evaluate the candidates’ proficiency in typing or stenography.

Medical Examination- The final stage of the selection process is a thorough medical examination to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to perform the duties of a police officer.

Examination Schedule

The written examination is expected to take place in March, but the board (UPPRPB) has not yet announced the exact dates. Candidates are advised to check the official UPPRPB website for updates regularly and to prepare for the examination in the meantime.

  • The exam consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • The duration of the Online Exam is 2.5 hours.
  • The UP SI Online Exam will be worth a total of 400 marks.
  • Candidates will receive 2 marks for each correct answer.
  • There is no deduction for wrong answers.
  • The test will be available in Hindi and English, except for the General Hindi section.
