The West Bengal government ICDS scheme under the Women and Child Development Department aimed to enhance the condition of mothers & children and empower them in the state through ICDS projects. According to the notification, the authority plans to fill up 856 posts of Anganwadi Worker (AWW) and Anganwadi Helper (AWH) through this recruitment drive. Citizenship:

• Applicant must be an Indian and must be a permanent resident of the concerned gram panchayat.

Age Limit:

• Applicants’ age limit for the application is between 18 and 35 years on 21 August 2024 for both AWW and AWH posts.
• There is no upper age relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD/EWS categories.

Educational Qualification:

• The minimum qualification required to apply for the AWW and AWH is an intermediate pass or equivalent course from a recognized board/council.
