WB Police SI Examination Schedule

WBP SI Selection Process
The selection process involves several phases, which will be held at the scheduled date and time with the Board’s responsibility. These phases are described below:
- Prelims Exam: Applied candidates will be called for the preliminary test in the first phase. The exam will have questions on General Studies, Logical & Analytical Reasoning and Arithmetic, with 200 marks in total. It will be a screening test to select the candidates for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Qualified candidates will be called for the PMT. In this test, candidates’ height, weight and chest will be measured.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): After conducting the PMT, the board will call the qualified candidates for PET, which will be held at various venues in West Bengal.
- Final Combined Competitive Examination: This phase will consist of three papers: Paper I will consist of General Studies & Arithmetic, Paper II will consist of the English Language Test, and Paper III will consist of the Bengali/Urdu/Nepali/Hindi Language Test.
- Personality Test: Candidates who fulfil the eligible criteria and qualify for the Final Combined Competitive Examination will be called for the Personality Test. After completing the selection process phases, selected candidates will be shortlisted in the merit list.
WBP SI Prelims Exam Pattern
- This examination will be based on MCQs.
- There will be 100 questions with a total of 200 marks.
- Each correct answer carried 02 marks.
- Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the paper.
- There will be a negative marking of 1/4th marks.
