Educational Qualifications

For Engineer Trainee (Electrical): Candidates should possess a degree in B.E., B.Tech. and B.Sc (Engineering) with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised university or institute. Additionally, they should have a degree in any discipline i.e. Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical & Electronics/ Power System Engineer/ Power Engineering (Electrical).

For Engineer Trainee (Electronics): Candidates should have a degree with at least 60% marks in their respective degree, i.e. B.E., B.Tech. and B.Sc (Engineering) from a recognised institute. Along with this, they should have a degree in any discipline of Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics and Electrical Communication and Telecommunication Engineering.

For Engineer Trainee (Civil): Candidates must have passed B.E., B.Tech. and B.Sc (Engineering) with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognised university or institute. Also, candidates should have a Civil Engineering Degree in any discipline.

For Engineer Trainee (Computer Science): Candidates should possess a degree in B.E., B.Tech. and B.Sc (Engineering) from a recognised institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate and have a degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering and Information Technology (IT).

Age Limit 

The upper age limit of the candidates must be 28 years as of 31-12-2023. Relaxation in the upper age limit for different categories is as follows:

Application Fee Structure

To apply online for PGCIL Vacancies, candidates must pay the application registration fee, which is ₹500/- for all candidates. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman/Departmental Candidates & female candidates are exempted from the registration fee.
