The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has announced the recruitment drive for Constable and Sub-Inspector positions, designed to assess candidates’ eligibility for these positions. This significant recruitment drive was framed to fill up the 4660 positions of Constable and Sub-Inspectors at various RPF & Railway Protection Special Forces.

The RPF Recruitment notification was released with 4660 vacant seats of various positions at rrbapply.gov.in. Out of the total vacancies, 4208 positions will be for Constable posts, and the remaining 452 positions will be for Sub-Inspector posts.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

Individuals for constable and sub-inspector positions will be selected based on several phases, which will be scheduled on a specified date and time.  The RPF will conduct the selection phases in the mentioned timeframe. Here are the selection phases of these substantial positions:

  • Written Exam: This examination consists of two papers, CBT 1 and 2, which are designed to check the candidate’s general aptitude and intelligence.
  • Physical Fitness Test: The department will take two fitness tests: a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and a Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
  • Document Verification: After qualifying for the written examination and PFT, candidates will be called for a document verification round. Candidates must present all original documents to verify.
  • Medical Examination: Lastly, a medical examination will be considered for the final selection of the shortlisted candidates.

Exam Pattern

  • The department will take an offline examination based on OMR sheets.
  • It includes 120 questions on various topics, totalling 120 marks.
  • All questions will be multiple-choice based.
  • Each correct answer carries 01 mark, and 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • The duration to complete this examination will be 90 minutes.
