State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC), Assam will be conducting the written exam for Class IV posts under various departments. Through this recruitment drive a total of 5000 vacancies are to be filled.
The notification for the exam was released on 27 October 2023 along with notification for the grade 3 posts. Candidates started applying for the recruitment on 10 November 2023. The last to fill out the application form was on 29 December 2023.
The commission has announced the examination schedule for the grade 4 exam and the exam will be conducted on 20 and 27 October 2024. The Grade 4 admit card will be released at least a week before the examination dates.

Selection Procedure
Written Examination– Candidates first appear for an objective-type written examination. It is taken to evaluate the candidate’s basic knowledge and aptitude necessary for the job.
Interview– Candidates who qualify the written test are called for an interview. The interview assesses the candidate’s personality, communication skills, and suitability for the role in the government sector.
Document Verification– Successful candidates from the interview stage must undergo a document verification process. Candidates are required to submit original documents like educational certificates, identity proof, etc.
Grade 4 Examination Pattern
- The examination is conducted offline.
- Answers will be marked on an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet.
- Each question carries one mark.
- For every incorrect answer, 0.5 marks are deducted.
- The exam is available in multiple languages: Assamese/ Bodo/ Bengali/ English.
