AP DSC Teacher Recruitment Selection Process

  • Weightage of Scores – Candidates’ scores are calculated based on their performance in the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) and the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET). The TRT carries an 80% weightage, while the TET contributes 20% to the final weighted score.
  • Personal Interview / Document Verification – Following the weighted score assessment, shortlisted candidates may undergo a Personal Interview and must complete a document verification process. This step assesses the candidate’s suitability for teaching and verifies the authenticity of their qualifications and documents.
  • Final Merit List – The selection process concludes with preparing a Final Merit List based on candidates’ performance in the TRT, TET, and interview, as well as the results of document verification. Candidates who rank on the Final Merit List are considered for appointment to teaching positions, subject to vacancy availability and reservation policies.
