The Gujarat High Court has completed the online registration process for the post of English Stenographer for Grade II and Grade III positions, which will be established at various Subordinate Courts, Industrial Courts and Labour Courts in the state of Gujarat.
The department will conduct an Elimination Test to recruit English Stenographers in June 2024. As per the official notification, there are 245 vacant seats for the Grade II and Grade III English Stenographer positions, which will be filled by the most deserving candidates. The online applications from eligible candidates were accepted from 06 May to 26 May 2024.
Gujarat High Court English Stenographer – Examination Schedule
The department of Gujarat High Court will conduct a Competitive Examination for the various positions of English Stenographer, which will be as follows:

Elimination Test
- The exam will contain 100 objective-type questions, totalling 100 marks.
- Each correct answer will have 01 Mark.
- The negative marking for each incorrect answer is worth 0.33 marks.
- Candidates will have 75 minutes to complete this examination.

Stenography/ Skill Test
This test will be of 70 marks and candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in this test to be appointed as an English Stenographer at various departments of the Gujarat High Court.

GHC Stenographer Hall Ticket – Details and Instructions
The department will issue hall tickets to candidates who have successfully registered with accurate details on the official website. These details include the candidate’s name, roll number, date of birth, category, and gender. The hall ticket will detail the exam date, time, and venue.
Upon receipt, candidates must verify their hall tickets to ensure all information is correct. They are advised to contact the examination authority without delay if there are any discrepancies.
Candidates must bring two printed copies of their hall ticket, two forms of identification, and two recent passport-sized photographs for verification by the examination authority when reporting for the exam.
