Educational Qualification
- TN TRB Assistant Professor- Engineering: Requires a B.E. or B.Tech and M.E. or M.Tech. in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology with First Class or its equivalent.
- TN TRB Assistant Professor- Law: Necessitates an MA Degree and a Master’s degree in Law with not less than 55% of marks, along with NET or an accredited Test qualification. Candidates with a Ph.D. are exempted from NET/SLET/SET requirements.
- TN TRB Assistant Professor- Arts & Science: Demands a Post-Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks and a pass in the NET/ SLET/ SET / SLST / CSIR / JRF as per UGC Norms.
Age Limits
- Engineering: Not over 57 years as of 01.07.2016.
- Law: Not over 40 years as of 01.07.2018, with relaxation for reserved categories.
- Arts & Science: Should not have completed 57 years as of 01-07-2019.

For applicants in the General Category, the fee stands at ₹600. However, for those belonging to the SC/ST/PwD communities, the application fee is reduced to ₹300. Please note that these fees are to be paid upon application submission.
If you have previously applied and paid the TN TRB Assistant Professor position fees based on the notifications from August 28, 2019, and October 04, 2019. In that case, you won’t have to pay the application fees again if you need to apply again. So, no need to worry about paying any fees when reapplying.
