Ladli Behna Yojana Maharashtra
Recently, the Maharashtra government has launched the Ladli Behna Yojana for women to improve their living standards and strengthen their role in the household with economic independence.
Earlier, the Finance Minister of the state presented the scheme in the interim budget on 28 June 2024 and now, the government is all set and launched the scheme from 1 July 2024. The Finance Minister has confirmed the scheme will be implemented from July 2024 and the targeted beneficiaries can apply for the scheme.
The Maharashtra government has set a budget ₹46,000 crore to implement and execute the scheme, where eligible women of the state will receive monthly financial assistance of ₹1500 from the government. The eligible women of Maharashtra can apply for the scheme to avail the benefits of Ladli Behna Yojana before 15 July 2024.

Ladli Behna Yojana Maharashtra Eligibility
The Maharashtrians can check their eligibility to apply for the Ladli Behin Yojana from the below eligibility criteria:
- You should be a female resident of Maharashtra state with the following status:
- Married
- Divorced
- Abandoned
- Destitute
- Your age should be between 21 years (minimum) and 60 years (maximum) to receive the benefits.
- The annual income of your household should not be more than ₹2.50 lakhs.
- You must have a bank account to apply for the Ladli Behna Yojana.
Exclusions under the Ladli Behna Yojana Maharashtra are as follows:
- Applicants whose family income is more than the income limit decided for the Yojana.
- When any of the family members of the applicant is a taxpayer.
- When the applicants get benefits from other government benefits and receive more than ₹1500 a month.
- When the applicant’s family members have regular/ contractual/ permanent work in a government department/ central government or are employed in any state government local body or receive pension disqualified from the scheme.
- Applicants whose family has a four-wheeler (Excluding tractors) under the name of any family member and jointly has agricultural land over five acres are ineligible for the scheme.
- Applicants whose family member is a Director/ Chairman/ Board Member/ or undertaking any post at the central government or state government are excluded from the scheme.
Documents required for the Ladli Behna Yojana Maharashtra
The women residing in Maharashtra state who meet the eligible requirements should prepare the following document to apply for the Ladli Behna Yojana and avail the benefits:
- Aadhar Card
- Domicile Certificate
- Maharashtra Birth certificate
- Passport-size photograph
- Income and Asset certificate
- Ration Card
- Copy of first page of bank account passbook for bank account details.
- Other documents that support your claim for the application.
Application Process of the Ladli Behna Yojana Maharashtra
The women living in Maharashtra can apply for the Mukhya Mantri LAdli Behna Yojana through the following application process:
- The women should check their eligibility criteria to be certain of their eligibility under the scheme.
- On the eligibility confirmation, you should prepare the above-mentioned documents and visit your nearby Child Development Project Officer Office/ Anganwadi Centres/ Ward/ Gram Panchayat/ Sethu Suvidha Kendra.
- The concerned officers will guide you through the application process to successfully apply for the scheme. The applicants should visit the Kendra center in person to complete the e-KYC and biometric.
- The application form for the Ladli Behna Yojana is free for the women beneficiaries.
- After you submit the application to the nodal officer, the competent officers will handle the proceedings of the application.
After the application, you should wait for the approval of the authority on your request to claim the Ladli Behna Yojana benefits. According to reports, the government plans to publish the beneficiary list of the applicants shortly after the last date to begin the financial aid to the eligible women immediately.
