RPSC AE Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility criteria for recruitment of AE under the various departments of state government is available below in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
- Educational Qualification: One must have pursued four-year Bachelor’s of Technology or Engineering from a school recognised by the AICTE in the respective discipline.
- Age Limit: The age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years or more than 40 years, relaxation for OBC-NCL and SC/ST category candidates is 3 and 5 years, respectively.

RPSC AE Application Fee 2024
Candidates who are going to apply for recruitment of Assistant Engineer will have to deposit the application fee, which is ₹600/- for individuals belonging to UR, OBC-CL and EBC. The payable amount for the aspirants belong to OBC-NCL, EBC, EWS, SC and ST need to pay ₹400, which is same as the application fee for the Person with Disability individuals.
RPSC AE Selection Process 2024
The selection process for recruitment of Assistant Engineer under the state government consists of three stages, which are Prelims, Mains and Interview.
- Prelims: Candidates who will apply for recruitment of Assistant Engineer will be called for the Prelims, after the scrutiny of the application form. It is estimated to be administered in December 2024 across the state at various exam centres.
- Mains: Aspirants who will participate in the Prelims, and get the minimum cut off marks or more will be called for Mains, which is likely to take place in February or March 2025.
- Interview: Individuals who will have passed the Mains by meeting or exceeding the cut off marks will be called for Interview, it may take place within two months after the result declaration of Mains.
